I love a woman with glasses...

...it's a shame I hate her politics...

'cause I would love to vote for a woman...but she ain't the one!

Sarah Palin on faith, life and creation.

I love this woman already! Time will tell as we see more of her as to what she has to offer our country. One thing Robert we both want what is best for our country - even though we may not agree on the road to get there. Lets hope and pray that which road is taken gets us there.

The issue in picking Palin for VP is that she is not qualified to be President. The VP has one job, to step in when there is a crisis, when the President has died. This requires someone with at least some experience how Washington politics works.

Palin was mayor of a town with a population of 8,500 and is in her second year as governor. Alaska with is oil revenues and low population is the easiest state budget to manage, and she hasn't proven, as yet, that she could do that job.

I do not want a President who requires on the job training. She may be a great leader or completely incompetent, no one has a clue, and that is too much of a risk to take with someone "a heart beat" away from being President.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about a woman with glasses. My theory is one of the centerfolds from my teen years wore glasses and I, like a Pavlovian dog, will forever associate the two.

Coincidentally, my bride is near-sighted.

Wow Ed - you make some great observations!! she has already served in executive leadership - a great start for her potential new role! Too bad the democratic presidential candidate doesn't have those credentials already and his VP candidate is "politics as usual" - what happened to his platform of "hope" & "change"?

Papa, Obama served eight years in the Illinois state senate which gives him much more experience in state politics than Palin.

I haven't done enough research to guess at how much change we will see, but I don't think Obama or McCain are as much of an idealouge as Bush is.

McCain is opposed to abortion, but favors stem cell research. McCain voted No to a constitutional ban on same sex marriage. He believes in evolution, but would leave it to the states to decide if they want to teach creationism.

Obama has said states can restrict late term birth abortions. States and cites should determine local gun laws. The GOP is right on "cap & trade". Supports nuclear power. He supports a military "surge" in Afghanistan to eliminate the Taliban.

Both candidates seem to be trying to make their way to the middle of the road, at least as far as I can tell right now.

Robert, how very superficial of you to consider her on her looks alone. Tsk tsk.

Mind you anyone would look good next to the old guy she's running with. I'm sure he looked younger in the Die Hard movies.
