A citizen of the world...

"They shoot without shame, in the name of a piece of dirt

For a change of accent, or the colour of your shirt

Better the pride that resides in a citizen of the world

Than the pride that divides when a colorful rag is unfurled"

Rush - Territories
lyrics by Neil Peart

I had no idea that Rush Limbaugh was so poetic!

Seriously though, I am suppose to go one step further... not even a citizen of the world. I'm just an ambassador within this world. Unfortunately, this is pretty much still a beautiful song.

*chortle*

Rush Limbaugh can barely string together a coherent sentence that isn't written for him!

As to your ambassador comment....i can live with that! ;-)

Not that you need MY assent!

You mean Rush didn't write that ?? Well I'll be ----

It really sounds far fetched - world peace - but it really isn't - its between you and I.

Does being a citizen of a nation prevent you from being a citizen of the world?

On a smaller scale, does being a citizen of New Hampshire or Texas prevent you from being an American citizen?
